Happy Mediterranean Diet Month!
Did you know that May is the International Mediterranean Diet Month? If not, you are not the only one. Even I found that out a few years ago.
Established in 2009 by the Oldways organization, International Mediterranean Diet month highlights this heart-healthy lifestyle’s wonders.
Traditionally, the Mediterranean Diet is mostly plant-based; whole grains, legumes, and seasonal vegetables are the bulk of a meal. And, when it comes to flavor and health in one package, the Mediterranean Diet and lifestyle have you covered.
The modern Mediterranean Diet has introduced ingredients and foods from other regions, but their adoption added more variety and flavor complexity.
Maybe you’re a seasoned follower of the Mediterranean Diet or simply curious about this healthy eating pattern and how to get started with the Mediterranean lifestyle.
Head over to our recipes directory for delicious meals and the kitchen tips for how-to information.
If you are new to the Mediterranean lifestyle, start with this post and get the Mediterranean Diet shopping list here. I will be posting recipes and also emailing you tips and meal ideas.
