Layer up Greek yogurt, fresh fruit, and your favorite granola for a delightful quick breakfast with homemade yogurt parfait!

This dish is simple, flavorful, refreshing, and quick to prepare. It is one of those items that you can take on the go for a healthy breakfast option.

And this Greek yogurt parfait will not disappoint you. It is made with equal parts Greek yogurt, fresh fruit, and crunchy-sweet granola giving the parfait a complex taste and texture: Tart-sweet, nutty, creamy, and crunchy at the same time! It is like a party in your mouth!!

Ingredient Substitutions

What if there are allergies or intolerances and you can’t have one or more ingredients? This recipe is one of the easiest to swap ingredients.

Yogurt: I love the flavor and texture of plain Greek yogurt. Greek yogurt is high in protein. Feel free to substitute for your favorite dairy or non-dairy yogurt!

Fruit: Here, I am using fresh berries for this recipe, but you can use any fruit or what you have on hand!

Granola: You can use any type of granola, traditional, Paleo, Keto, anything you like. How about some plain old whole-grain cereal? Yes, that will work too!

Make-Ahead

You can prepare these yogurt parfaits ahead of time. If you are using a single part container jar, put the granola as the TOP layer to avoid it becoming very mushy, and keep in mind that it will lose some of its crunchiness. If you can purchase these containers or these ones, you can separate the granola from the fruit and yogurt, and it will remain crunchy.

Storage

Store these yogurt parfaits covered airtight with plastic wrap or the jar cover (if you are using jars) in the refrigerator for 2-3 days.

How to make the Greek Yogurt Parfait

Wash and dry the fruit. Cut any large fruit into small pieces.

Layer the parfait. Layer the yogurt, fruit, and granola in a glass, bowl, food container, or mason jar.

Note: For an extra fancy look, layer the ingredients in stemless wine glasses.

Recipe Tips

Pat dry the fruit so you don’t add extra liquid to the parfait. It will make the granola soggy and mushy.

Choose the best fruit- For best-tasting results, look for ripe, fresh seasonal fruit.

Break up any large granola chunks – Granola can clump together. Break up these clumps to ensure it has an even consistency when you layer them in.
