Thank you for subscribing to Eat Mediterranean Food.

Many email providers use programs to block unwanted email, often called “spam” or “junk” email. However, sometimes these programs block emails you want to get.

How to ensure you are receiving our emails

Be sure to add the Eat Mediterranean Food email address (info@eatmediterraneanfood.com) to your email “whitelist” or “safelist” to ensure the best chance of receiving our content and updates.

A whitelist or safelist is a list of accepted email addresses or persons in the list of domain names and email addresses from which an email blocking program will allow messages to be received. For example, our emails are always sent from the email address “info@eatmediterraneanfood.com” and appear with “Sonia – Eat Mediterranean Food” or “Eat Mediterranean Food.”

Why is this important?

Unsolicited, unwanted advertising email has become a big problem, commonly known as “spam” or “junk” email. It has reached such proportions that most email services and Internet Service Providers (ISPs) have put some blocking or filtering system to keep the user’s account safe. They may also rely on self-proclaimed blocklists to distinguish the legitimate senders from the bad.

We applaud their intention to protect you from spam. But unfortunately, the current systems for stopping spam are far from a perfect solution. For example, they often block emails that you’ve requested, but that fit somebody’s idea of what spam looks like. Thus, you might unexpectedly find you’re not getting your subscription’s content from time to time.

But don’t fret. You can do something to make sure your subscription’s content doesn’t fall into the false positive trap. For example, you can “whitelist” or “safelist” them.

Whitelist us now, before your delivery is interrupted.

Please note that every email system is different. Below we provide instructions for some of the more popular ones. If yours isn’t here, don’t hesitate to contact your ISP’s customer service for their instructions. (Forward the answer to us, and we will add it to this page!) If you’re using some spam filtering or blocking software yourself (in addition to what your ISP provides), we’ve also listed instructions on exempting your subscription from some of the more popular programs.

3. Our emails will go to your primary folder in the future!

Outlook

Right-click on the message in your inbox.

Select “Junk Email” from the menu.

Click “Add Sender to Safe Senders List.”
