- 1 8-oz can water-packed tuna drained
- ¼ cup mayonnaise
- 1 tbsp sriracha sauce preferably sugar-free
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- Sea salt and freshly ground pepper to taste
- 1 large English cucumber sliced
- 2 large green onions (scallions) green parts only, thinly sliced
- 2 tbsp white sesame seeds
Add the drained tuna, mayo, sriracha, and garlic powder to a medium bowl. Season with salt and black pepper to taste, and stir to combine.
Arrange the cucumber slices on a serving platter and arrange it on a serving platter. Garnish each appetizer with some sliced green onion and sesame seeds right before serving.
Notes
The total number of appetizers depends on how thick the cucumber is sliced. In general, aim for 16-18 slices per cucumber.
As desired, adjust the amount of Sriracha sauce for more or less heat.
Variations
- Make the tuna spicer or milder by adding more or less of the sriracha sauce. You can control the heat in this recipe.
- Use black sesame seeds or a mixture of white and black sesame.
- Use chives instead of scallions.
